Mostly cloudy but dry today, snow moves in tonight
Winter Storm Warnings will go in effect later on tonight
It’s another cold start to the morning but this time we are not dealing with any winter weather. Temperatures this morning are about like where they were yesterday in the teens and 20s.

Unlike yesterday though where we started off cloudy and broke into some sunshine by the afternoon, today will feature the clouds hanging around for the day, if not increasing by the afternoon hours.

A few snow showers could move in as early as this evening but most of that will have to overcome dry air at the surface initially before the snow makes it to the surface.

Lows tonight will drop back into the upper teens to low 20s with snow becoming more widespread overnight. Snow will continue for most of Wednesday, becoming more scattered by Wednesday evening.

An upper-level trough will bring another round of snow Thursday morning, with upslope snow to follow Thursday afternoon and evening.

Winter storm warnings will go in effect late this evening or tonight and last through Thursday night.

Snowfall amounts will range from 4 to 8 inches across the winter storm warning areas, locally higher amounts possible, while 2 to 4 inches is forecasted for areas under the winter weather advisory.
