SUMMERS COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA) - A Summers County man has been charged in connection with a March 16 breaking and entering and arson case at a Dollar General store in Nimitz.

Summers County Chief Deputy T.S. Adkins said Isaac G. Brown, 20, of Jumping Branch is charged with second-degree arson, breaking and entering, felony destruction of property and petit larceny.

The charges stem from a call at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday regarding a fire at the store.

Adkins said that after the fire was extinguished it was quickly determined that a breaking and entering had occurred.

During the investigation, video surveillance footage was used to identify any suspects.

Sheriff J.L. Faris obtained an arrest warrant for Brown on Monday.

Brown remains incarcerated at Southern Regional Jail on a $200,000 surety/cash bond.

A preliminary hearing for Brown has been scheduled for Thursday at 3:15 p.m. in Summers County Magistrate Court.
