Warmer temps look to last into late week
Rain and a cool-down then on tap over the upcoming weekend

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - Tonight temps will hover in the 40s and low 50s (still mild for this time of year), and we’ll see partly cloudy skies tonight.

Thursday will bring increasing clouds, but still warm and mainly dry weather with highs in the 60s and 70s. We could see a stray t-storm or shower Thursday PM, otherwise Thursday night looks mostly cloudy and mild with lows in the 40s.

If we get enough breaks in the clouds, look up around 3 AM! We’ll have our full March “worm moon”, coinciding with a total lunar eclipse! This will turn the moon a red hue as the moon passes into earth’s shadow for a while.

Friday will bring partly sunny skies and highs in the 60s and low 70s again.

A frontal system moving in this weekend will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially Saturday PM - some of which could be severe. Rain will continue into Sunday....
