Mercer County woman convicted on two counts of Incest
PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) - According to Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney Brian Cochran, a woman was convicted on two felony counts of Incest after a two day jury trial this week.
36 year old Virginia Amelia Nester of Princeton was found to have a consensual relationship with her biological father Teddy Billings. According to Cochran, this information came to be known by law enforcement after Nester’s family confronted her on the relationship.
According to the press release this lead Nester, “to initially falsely report to the State Police that her father had raped her.” An investigation by police found the relationship consensual. Billings plead guilty to his charges.
Nester was found guilty on 2 of 4 counts relating to incest after her trial.
“We all appreciate the jury’s attention to the evidence and for their deliberations in coming to this verdict”, said Cochran.
Billings plead guilty to one charge of incest and is currently housed in Southern Regional Jail.
Both Nester and Billings are required to register as sex offenders. Nester’s sentencing is set for May 15.
