Red cross discusses the benefits of blood donation & ongoing drives

The Two Virginias, (WVVA) - Ramey Auto Group, the American Red Cross and WVVA are entering the last month of 2024′s summer blood drives.

During the summer months, donating in participating drives enters you to potentially take home a Chevy Spark from the auto group.

More than that, when donors give they save lives.

One pint of blood can save up to three lives and Amanda Cash notes the process to sign up continues to get easier.

“We’ve tried to make the process quicker. We do what we call Rapid Pass, where you can do that the day of your blood drive that you’re going to donate at,” said Cash. “You can go in and answer all of your questions that you normally would do at the blood drive in your health history. That’ll save you about 15 minutes. "
