Amaya joined the 29News team in May, 2023. She is a graduate of Regent University with a degree in Communications-Journalism.
Before joining the team, she interned at WAVY TV 10, in Virginia Beach. She also worked at WAVY TV 10 as a studio technician and assignment editor.
Amaya is originally from Halifax, VA. When she is not out on stories, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and travelling.
