Bluefield University brings in the next semester with a new president
BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - Doctor Steve Peterson is now the tenth president at Bluefield University.
After receiving his bachelors, masters, and doctorate at Liberty University, President Peterson then worked as staff for over two decades. Upon leaving Liberty University, President Peterson moved to work at Houston Christian University on their online program.
Now President Peterson has moved to Bluefield University to continue building the programs and sense of community on campus.
“One of the great things about moving to Bluefield is as I go around town and introduce myself as the incoming, now the new president at Bluefield University, I’m meeting alumni all around the community, going back into the 50s and the 60s. So, there’s this solid, firm foundation that have gone before us and propped up the university to serve the people of this region,” said President Steve Peterson.
President Peterson also says he is excited to continue building the university and be a part of the community.
