Academy Sports to open new Beckley location

BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) - Academy Sports and Outdoors will be opening its first location in the Beckley area.
The location is set to open in September 2024 and will be in the Beckley Plaza Shopping Center.
The store will be nearly 70,000 square feet with a large variety of sporting and outdoor items.
Out of Academy Sports and Outdoors’ 286 stores nationwide, this is only the second location in West Virginia with the other located in Barboursville.
