Bluefield State advances in CIAA volleyball tournament
Big Blue survive and advance against Winston-Salem State

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - The Bluefield State (BSU) Big Blue claimed the No. 2 seed in the north division of the CIAA, and hosted the No. 3 seed from the South in Winston-Salem State Rams Tuesday night.
The Rams would take the first set (25-20), but afterwards, the Big Blue would come back down in the second set (26-24) to tie it. In the third, BSU would win it comfortably (25-19), and looked to do so in the third until Winston-Salem State made a charge late. However, in the end the Big Blue would win it 27-25, and win in four sets over the Rams, advancing to the CIAA semifinals.
