Pipestem tram still under renovation
PIPESTEM, W.Va. (WVVA) - WVVA recently checked in on the Pipestem Resort’s tram construction progress.
Pipestem Resort State Park was awarded nearly $12.4 million to renovate its tram, which was built in the 1960s and opened in 1970.
Construction began in 2023 with plans to be finished in 2024, however, storms have slowed progress and as of now the tram remains under construction.
WVVA reached out to the West Virginia Department of Tourism for an update on when the project may be finished but have yet to hear back.
